MHE Assessor

We are currently recruiting for an MHE Assessor in Wolverhampton – EMC. Responsibilities will include supporting the training and development of the FLT driver workforce. 

 

About the Role 
How you will contribute 

  • Ensure safe working practices for manual handling/mechanical handling during training.
  • Ensure all MHE drivers comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide coaching and brief MHE drivers on their behaviours to promote safe working practices at all times.
  • Support the Health and Safety Team in any investigations involving MHE.
  • Support with the organisation to ensure the facility or warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Assist the primary point of contact for the customer and MHE Provider on any MHE fleet related topics.
  • Co-ordinate and liaisie with Operations on MHE fleet servicing and repairs with MHE Provider, ensuring there is no impact to the operation.
  • Identify root cause of MHE damage and if caused by syncreon fault issue prompt Purchase Orders for repair.
  • Review actual MHE hours and fleet utilisation and recommend areas for review to Operations and Engineering
  • Perform periodic racking assessments to SEMA standard (additional training can be provided to gain this accreditation)
  • Ensure training is conducted in accordance with our programme and timescales meeting operational requirements in line with legislation and syncreon policy.
  • Ensure paperwork detailing training given is produced timely and accurately ensuring evidence of training undertaken.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Your Key Qualifications 

  • GCSE grades 9-5 or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Strong communication and written skills and the ability to influence others in a positive manner.
  • Experience of a training function within a warehouse environment is desirable.
  • A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques to assessor level is desirable.
  • RTITB Lift Truck and Scissor Lift Instructor qualification is essential
  • Knowledge of health and safety and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with line managers and colleagues
