Inventory Specialist

 

 

Interested in joining a dynamic and growing 3PL as a Inventory Co-Ordinator where lots of challenges await? Our engineering team, based in Wolverhampton are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our growing team to support our future plans! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About the Role

How you will contribute:

  • Maintenance of all line side buttons, kanbans and visual management on time and in full
  • Stock allocation, master data, visual management & pick routing logic
  • Monitor stock levels and actively work with RF&U on items identifed as having insufficient or excess stock on hand
  • Ensure root cause analysis is completed on transaction exception codes and identification and implementation of corrective measures where appropriate
  • Provide analysis, reporting and presentations to the managament team to support business reviews as appropriate
  • Production of stock metrics - inventory accuracy, replenishment efficiency, pick wave efficiency, transaction accuracy
  • Identify improvement opportunities in stock based processes
  • Actively contribute to cost saving activities
  • Identify root cause issues and liase with relevant departments to implement corrective actions
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement
  • Facilitate Stock Takes
  • Support system improvements where appropriate
  • Update stock movements on SAP, EWM & ECC systems

 

Accountabiliity:

  • Ensure that all counts are conducted in line with created plans
  • Ensure appropriate investigations are completed for stock queries
  • Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly KPI's are maintained
  • Weekly improvement meetings are conducted with each area to follow up outstanding CCAR actions
  • Ensure proactive meetings take place with Operations and customer to facilitate stock improvements

 

Knowledge/Key Skills Required:

  • Previous Stock Control experience
  • Intermediate IT Skills - MS Word, MS Powerpoint etc
  • Experience of SAP or similar warehouse management systems
