Material Tech (NE)

We are looking for an experienced Materials Tech, based in Warren,MI, to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of your assigned shift at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon by DP World team!

 

This position is a 2nd shift schedule. Monday thru Friday; 4:30pm-2am.  Saturdays mandatory when scheduled by customer.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; Ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to controlled storage in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
  • Monitors and measures team member performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers.
  • Provides appropriate equipment to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma.  A college degree is preferred.
  • Experience supervising in an automotive or logistics based industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
