Process Engineer Technical

How you will contribute 

  • Utilize your expertise in production line layout and control systems (PLC, SCADA, WMS/SAP) to optimize our operations.
  • Take charge of onboarding and maintaining manufacturing fixtures and jigs from OEMs, ensuring seamless functionality in both electrical and mechanical aspects.
  • Manage the design and implementation of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical changes to production line systems and fixtures, in collaboration with international manufacturers and local suppliers.
  • Provide hands-on support to our Operations team, both locally and internationally, ensuring we meet engineering goals and objectives.
  • Offer technical support for multi-functional production lines, working closely with vendors to deliver on-site solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement preventative and corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and internal/external projects throughout the engineering life cycle.
  • Develop and update tools for headcount analysis, supporting Operations, IT, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Implement process improvements using common tools and techniques, aiming to enhance production rates and output quality.
  • Manage engineering functions for assigned projects, including budgeting, equipment, and work standards.
  • Prepare engineering studies to reflect operational and strategic changes, presenting solutions as part of business development.
  • Foster relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors, collaborating across teams to implement business requirements.
  • Make informed decisions regarding capital equipment purchases or leases, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Contribute to various engineering tasks within the wider Engineering/Facility team.

 

Your key qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably with a technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (manufacturing and/or logistics)
  • Strong people management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD, MiniTab, and project management tools
  • Certification in VCA, NEN3140 or equivalent, and MHE (forklift, reach trucks, scissor lifts, etc.)
  • Proficiency in (re)manufacturing, packaging, and/or innovation in line production environments
  • Proven process improvement experience using Lean Six Sigma, 5S Visual Factory, MTM/MOST, TPM, VSM, and other common improvement tools
  • Track record of managing engineering projects through the life cycle
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills, both internally and externally
