Operations Manager Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager Manufacturing, based in Waalwijk, to plan, direct and coordinate the Manufacturing operation at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team!

About the Role

Tasks & Responsibilities
The Manufacturing department is responsible for the production and shipment of consumer products for the EMEA region. It is a dynamic environment spread over three business units. In this role you indirectly lead 50-100 people and you provide direct management to the Production Manager and Planning Supervisor. You report directly to the Site Manager and are part of the local Management Team

As Operations Manager Manufacturing you are responsible for the manufacturing department of one of our most important accounts. You are the main contact of the customer and will maintain daily contact. In order to meet the high quality standard and service, you will have a continuous drive to train people and improve production processes (BPI).

Other tasks are:

  • Coaching, training, managing direct reports (including disciplinary procedures, illness management, vacation management, succession planning - all in accordance with company policies and procedures);
  • Responsible to ensure that all KPIs & SLAs are realized with special attention to productivity, quality and direct labor costs control within the service / department;
  • Evaluate / follow the progress, incidents, processes and customer satisfaction;
  • Initiate and manage improvement projects, including the introduction of new products and managing special one-off events;
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs and costs;
  • Supporting additional activities such as Gemba / Kaizen / 5S;



  • HBO or academic education combined with at least five years of experience, preferably in a production environment;
  • A solid business background and cross-functional knowledge of IT, Facilities, HR and Finance (including budgeting / prognosis, cost management, pricing, P & L assessment)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and you speak fluent English and Dutch
