Inventory & Warehouse Optimization Manager

About the Role


The most important aspects in leadership
•    Define a clear and communicate strategy for Inventory Management.
•    Set ambitious goals based on strategy & vision (site Waalwijk) for Inventory Management.
•    Set up action plans with clear-cut distribution of responsibilities.

Tasks & Responsibilities

•    Leading the department, part of the management team, actively involved in the entire business operations.
•    Managing stock accuracy at high level scope.
•    Ensuring the optimal layout of the warehouse.
•    1st point of escalation for customers and syncreon parties for all inventory accuracy and inventory availability related subjects.
•    Communication (daily) with your counterparts in our client’s and client vendor’s organization, building and maintaining a strong relationship between sycnreon and customer. Ensure that client complaints and queries are accurately handled within SLA.
•    Managing the inventory control & inventory administration/analyst team in the day-to-day business to maintain and improve efficiency and quality of work.
•    Monitor daily KPI’s, Quality Metrics & productivity administration is completed accurately and on time. Responsible for QEHS and 5Swithin the department & reporting accidents & near misses.
•    Communication (daily) with your counterparts in our client’s and client vendor’s organization, building and maintaining a strong relationship between sycnreon and customer. 
•    Ensure that client complaints and queries are accurately handled within SLA.
•    Liaison with all operational departments to ensure smooth information flow to and from the client, improve team-work, ensuring communication in a cohesive and structured manner internally and externally. 
•    Provide guidance to the individual team members and support other parties in a friendly, flexible, but persistent way to facilitate- the achievement of overall syncreon goals.
•    Coaching/training; review / setup training material, training material includes process flows, work instructions and screenshots of any system being used.
•    Recognize the requirement for, design and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive action plans. Drive forward (project manage) / monitor / participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) Monitor corrective action plans, including required IT-enhancements.
•    Impact analysis of new business requirements and/or new business/ICT process, design/coordinate/execute user acceptance testing.    


   

Requirements

•    Knowledge of and experience with inventory and logistics processes.
•    At least 4-5 years of work experience in international technically driven organizations. Experience in comparable position. We do expect you to have proven experience within a Inventory Management function
•    Relevant knowledge of international standards (i.e. ISO 9001) and Lean, Kaizen & 5S methodology
•    Knowledge of MsOffice, WMS-systems and / or SAP.
•    Education at HBO Logistics Management.
•    Good communication and relation building’s skills in English (verbally and written). Communicate in English is a must, communication in Dutch is preferred.
