Production Manager

As a Production Manager in the Manufacturing department for our location Tilburg, you are responsible for leading, guiding & coaching a manufacturing team who is assembling & processing production orders within the given targets of costs & quality. You are responsible for all manufacturing activities for our customer during the shifts. In this role, you report directly to the Sr. Operations Manager, who is part of the site MT.


How you will contribute

The Manufacturing departments at syncreon are responsible for assembling, processing and shipping consumer & professional electronic products for EMEA region. As Production Manager for Tilburg, you will be the main point of contact for each of the sub sections within Manufacturing. In this role, you give direct leadership, support and guidance to the supervisors and you manage indirect their teams. Other tasks include:


  • Coach, train, instruct and monitor your direct reports and production employees in their day-to-day business; sickness management, vacation management, business continuity, training & succession planning – all in accordance with company policy and procedures;
  • Develop, implement, manage and document all production processes;
  • Responsible for ensuring that all KPI’s & SLA’s are met with particular emphasis on productivity, quality and direct labour costs control within the departments;
  • Evaluate / monitor progress processes and customer satisfaction;
  • Initiate and manage improvement projects including introduction of new products and manage special one off events;
  • Monitor and analyse KPI’s and costs;
  • Co-operate and coach engineering and IT with the development of best in class warehouse processes;
  • Develop/execute monitoring tools (reports, audits) to monitor current performance, trends and to facilitate bench marks with competitors and between internal departments;
  • Liaise with the various site business owners;
  • Translate business requirements in systems like shop floor control enhancements.


Your key qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical and/or operational education relevant field;
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, assembly or production related environments is preferred;
  • Analytic, calm and people management personality with an enthusiastic drive;
  • Accurate, innovative thinker, team player and focus on continuous improvement;
  • Able to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings;
  • Analytical skills and attention for detail;
  • Proven experience within manufacturing areas, preferred experience with Lean Management and 5/6/7S methodology;
  • Ability to understand processes and make improvements where necessary;
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (particularly Excel) and shopfloor control systems;
  • Good communication and relationship building skills in English.
