Manager Finance & Financial Control

Due to internal promotion we are searching for an experienced Manager Finance and Financial Control. You will help us to firmly establish our Financial Shared Service Center for the Dutch operations. You will be managing an enthousiastic team of approximately 14 FTE’s consisting of Accountants and Financial Controllers, mainly located in Tilburg. Within DP world Europe, the Netherlands is a large country and therefore there will be lot of interaction with both regional and corporate office. This position is hybrid based in Tilburg and reports to the Director Finance in the Benelux.

You are a solid professional, analytical, resourceful and you bring a healthy dose of fun and situational awareness. You will have prior experience in managing a sizeable team in a dynamic multinational environment. Key aspects of the role will be to drive simplification, automation and to ensure End-2-End business processes are in control.

Your (team's) key responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain a professional team atmosphere;
• Ensure the established deadlines are met (A/R, Payroll, Accruals, Financial Statements, Operations);
• As a manager, you liaise with your team to understand departmental costs, provide guidance and support as appropriate;
• Responsibility for the general ledger of various entities;
• Comply with all federal, state, tax and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation. We report per IFRS and Dutch GAAP;
• Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes supervision on all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary stakeholders;
• Monitor, participate and supervise external Audits;
• Coordination on investigation and the adjustment differences for IFRS versus Dutch and US GAAP items;
• Focus on continuous improvement of the accounting processes and automation of administrative processes, participate in upgrading our ERP systems;
• Possess the drive and ability to support significant development of an integrated Business Intelligence system (Qlik & BPC).

What we ask of you:

• Masters’ degree in Finance or Economics, with extensive knowledge on compliance and accounting;
• 5-10 years relevant managerial working experience in accounting within an international and complex environment;
• Excellent experience with IFRS, USGAAP and local GAAP, as well as knowledge of local taxes (i.e. CIT, VAT and Wage Tax);
• Fluent proficiency in both Dutch and English language (verbally and in writing) is a must;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships and influence stakeholders within all departments and levels of the organization;
• Proficiency with the MS Office package, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint is required;
• Experience in SAP, BPC and Power-BI would be advantageous;
• Big 4 experience is a plus;
• Based and authorized to work in the Netherlands with the ability to work on-site in our Tilburg office.
