Junior Process Engineer

As a process engineer, you are part of the Engineering department. This department is responsible for NPI, Projects, Operational efficiencies, process improvements, and layout improvements on both our manufacturing and logistic processes. As a process engineer, you are part of the Engineering department. This department is responsible for NPI, Projects, Operational efficiencies, process improvements, and layout improvements on both our manufacturing and logistic processes. We are looking for an enthusiast, motivated and ambitious colleague with potential to grow into our organization and to join our team in Tilburg. 

 

Responsibilities:
•    Develop the engineering function for assigned projects and activities including; engineering- and project budgets, processes, equipment, work standards and facilities;
•    Work closely with Operations, Account Management, Customer, Facilities and Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business;
•    Serve as the main point of contact and expert on capacity, process improvement tasks, and standard time inquiries;
•    Prepare engineering studies to ensure that continuously changing operational processes are reflected in operational and strategic calculations;
•    Measure standard time (MTM) to proactively challenge and support the realization of reductions in standard time, while always striving to eliminate waste;
•    Make informed recommendations and decisions related to the purchase or lease of capital equipment;
•    Support your team colleagues to continuous professional development;
•    Develop and update existing headcount analysis tools (direct and indirect labor) to analyze the impact of changes on business and prepare summary reports for and in support of Operations, IT and BPI initiatives;
•    Utilize Lean Standards in everyday assignments and analysis including: Line Balancing, MTM, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA's, Control Plans, engineering studies, and resource requirement sheets.


Your Key Qualifications:
•    Study (MBO, HBO or Master) in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields with affinity engineering redesign and 3PL operations;
•    Hands-on personality with both independent skills and team work preference;
•    Knowledge of Standard Time calculation (MTM) experience is preferable;
•    Experience in packaging and/or innovation;
•    Potential to grow into fast paced environment and ambitious to learn and develop into career.
