Category Procurement Manager Security & IT

DP World is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Category Procurement Manager Security & IT. The purpose of this exciting role is to independently initiate, draft, validate & sign off, implement and execute procurement strategy for the Security & IT category across Europe for all pillars of DP World. You will take ownership for your (and your team’s) results and you develop and build strong relationships with your supply base to reach best in class results in cost, technology and quality. The Category Procurement Manager Security & IT position is hybrid and preferably based in the Netherlands or the UK. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner up with your stakeholder group on a strategic/tactical level and identifying their business needs by acting as their partner on procurement topics;
  • Initiate, draft, validate & sign off, implement and execute procurement strategy within the strategy of the Procurement Leadership team;
  • Collaborate with Central European Procurement Team to initiate and implement improvements for customers;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Security & IT categories and procurement landscape, including cost records and trend analysis;
  • Manage strategic/tactical supplier relationships and contracts in the Security & IT category;
  • Maintain accurate records for quotes, purchase orders, supplier performance, and spend analysis;
  • Implement annual cost reduction strategies through negotiation, sourcing, and process improvements;
  • Identify and communicate potential commodity/supplier opportunities for standardization and communicate internally for pursuit;
  • Conduct supplier visits, risk assessments, performance reviews, and develop risk management systems;
  • Analyze and validate contracts, collaborating with the Legal Department for approval;
  • Develops commodity strategies for assigned Indirect spend categories for the European region;
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate sourcing activities for several sites in Europe;
  • Interface with supplier development for continuous improvement in the supply base;
  • Develop, manage and influence key stakeholder relationships internally and externally;
  • Provide daily feedback, guidance, and coaching to direct reports as applicable.

 

Current projects for the Security & IT Category:

  1. Set up (updated) category strategies for Security & IT
  2. Man guarding local tenders in Germany
  3. Security infra - new sites
  4. Embed clear processes between Security & Procurement (RACI, spend thresholds, activity mapping)
  5. Extend blueprint
  6. Align way of working with Group Procurement
  7. Mobile contract DTAG Germany

 

 

Your Background & Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or equivalent;
  • Certified or actively seeking certification in CIPS/NEVI or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience within (strategic) Procurement and preferably within the designated categories;
  • Proven experience to initiate, draft, validate, sign off and execute Procurement strategies and strategic sourcing;
  • Track record in procuring Security services (man guarding & security infra) & IT services (i.e. hardware, software and telecommunication) on a European level and implementing it in the business with a phased approach;
  • Abillity to review IT and Security contracts from a commercial and legal perspective;
  • Expert knowlegde in the Procurement landscape and preferred knowledge of the Security Infrastructure supply chain and IT technology and the main regional players and trends in the market;
  • Proven experience with working in a complex and international organization, self-starter and a track record in driving categories on a European level;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and possess the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to develop effective strategies for supplier selection and management of relationships;
  • Strong ability to challenge, influence and convince stakeholders as well as negotiation skills to ensure the DP World is represented in the best possible way:
  • Experience in cross-functional teams that include internal and external customers, and suppliers;
  • Fluent professional proficiency in the English and Dutch language is strongly preferred, any additional langue proficiency (i.e. German) is a plus;
  • Flexibility to travel 25% of your time to our sites within Europe.
