Quality Engineer - Senior

We are looking for a Senior QEHS Launch Engineer, based in the Germany, who can oversee and plan all aspects of a new project/business. Then the Senior Launch QEHS Engineer is the role for you! In this role, you will be responsible for the quality input and output on new projects and process launches in the EMEA region.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Responsible for leading in the quality input and output on new projects and process launches in EMEA region.

  • Gather data from customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel. Interact with syncreon staff within the locations and within the Company and all customer and prospective customer representatives.

  • Responsible for the safety aspects of the project including but not limited to risk assessments, safety planning and coordination of safety training.

  • Administer all projects and documentation (quality system) relative to assigned processes/launches (i.e. operator instructions (WIs), PFMEA’s and process control plans.

  • Process Analysis – provide input on processes from a quality perspective, aid in implementation of new processes.

  • Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems.  Use established problem solving techniques to reduce process variation. 

  • Manage quality and safety processes and reports as required.

  • Actively coach the organization concerning quality and safety with tools and reports.

  • Supports the Quality Director in the maintenance of IMS Systems, Manage and maintain the internal audit schedule for all required IMS Systems. 

  • Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports.

  • Process Control – provide input on document enhancement and retention; Maintain ISO documentation and controls, administer activities required to maintain ISO certification, and actively coach the organization for maintaining ISO system.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree preferred but not essential based on experience

  • 5+ years of work experience working in an automotive or logistics environment working in a senior quality capacity.

  • Proficiency on computers and Microsoft Office products.

  • Knowledge and expertise in principles such as 6 Sigma, FMEA, Process Improvements, NPI (New Product introduction), Quality Assurance Methodologies, Structured Problem Solving, 5 Whys and/or Fish-bone analysis

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers-both internal and external.

  • Strong analytical skills and technical savvy.

 

Additional Information/Requirements

  • Willingness to travel in EMEA. This is a Project based role and will require extensive business travel across European destinations. 

  • Valid Driver’s license
