Regional HR Director (m/f/d)

The HR Director Germany is responsible for implementing the strategic human resource calendar for syncreon Automotive and Technology in Germany. You will manage a team of approx. 5 direct reports. This position will report to the Vice President HR for the EMEA segment and to the respective Operational Leaders for the Automotive and Technology business in Germany. You will be based in one of our locations in Germany.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the HR processes and procedures. You will ensure that the company ethics and values are followed and upheld throughout the company;
  • Translate the corporate and business tactical business plans into short term action plans to support the operational and new business plans for the business locations in your responsibility;
  • Act as a soundboard and subject matter expert for management in all organizational and HR related matters at a local and at a national level, while ensuring compliance with labor law and the application of HR best practices;
  • To take an active role, in close cooperation with the corporate HR team, in the planning and preparation of competitive and elaborate proposals for new business opportunities throughout the division; to take a leading role during new launches concerning all HR activities;
  • Development and implementation of a trustful cooperation with unions and/or the workers’ councils at our various sites;
  • Working with the HR team and senior management to develop staffing strategies and implementing plans and programs to identify talent both within and outside of the organization for key positions;
  • Drive and coordinate recruiting, on-boarding processes and training & development plans at local sites by the HR team and management;
  • Ensure that the company compensation and benefits programs are implemented and audited to ensure they provide the motivation, incentives and rewards for effective.

Your Key Qualification


  • Master’s degree related to Human Resource Management or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant work experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent communication skills; a solid command of spoken and written English is required;
  • An energetic, results-oriented team player with sound HR skills, analytical abilities, discernment and a strong operational focus;
  • Proven experience building effective working relationships with workers’ councils;
  • A well-organized, self-directed individual with ‘political savvy’;
  • A strong educator and facilitator, with the personality to effectively share knowledge and act as a coach or mentor;
  • The ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment and to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints;
  • Ability to give presentations on complex topics to employee and management at all levels within the company;
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis.

You will be based in one of our German sites and may be required to travel to other sites in Germany on a regular basis. This is a full-time position.
