Head of Procurement Excellence

We are looking for a new colleague to fill the rol of Head of Procurement Excellence. The main purpose of the role is to drive procurement excellence across the region with DP World regional and local management, central functions and key stakeholders. Working together with Group Technology to deliver best-in class systems capabilities and optimize the end-to-end procurement process. As such developing and implementing regional procurement competencies, processes and tools. You will lead, coordinate and support all procurement transversal activities and projects.

Procurement Europe is organized in 3 main area’s:

Category Procurement: Indirect, Direct, Packaging & Consumables. Focusing on supplier management, contract management, risk management and commercial negotiations.
Business Procurement: Bids, Launches & Projects and Property. Fully integrated in new customer bids (pricing) and delivering new sites on time and in budget.
Procurement Excellence: Shared Service Centre & Governance, to further grow/scale up our business and generate an efficient/effective P2P process.

The Head of Procurement Excellence reports into the CPO/ Head of Procurement Europe.

About the Role

How you will contribute

Develop procurement policies, guidelines, processes, and tools, in collaboration with DP World, Regions and Central Functions.
Drive, support and monitor global implementation of group template and procurement best practices, including training programs.
Act as Business Process Owner for Procurement (procure-to-pay process).
Work with Group Technology to deliver best-in-class capabilities and optimize the end-to-end procurement process.
Oversee the procurement digitalization vision, roadmap, and budget in collaboration with Group Technology and key stakeholders.
Lead a team of Product Specialist in charge to define and implement the procurement products vision and roadmap in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure procurement capabilities are properly leveraged to deliver the target procurement performance.
Lead, coordinate and support procurement transversal activities and projects.
Develop a data-driven culture and ensure the availability of up-to-date, integrated, and consistent procurement data.
Monitor and report on procurement performance, provide recommendations.
Lead transversal initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

About your qualifications

Your Key Qualifications

You are a senior sourcing and procurement professional with 10+ years of experience in consulting or international matrix environments, with strengths in designing and implementing effective organization, processes and modern procurement tools at a global level.
You are experienced in implementing or managing source-to contract, purchase-to-pay and/or global business services.
You have excellent communication skills and are capable to animate diverse and demanding stakeholders to foster collaborations, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement. You are service oriented, capable to bring a strategic vision and hands-on contribution to achieve your goals.
You are fluent in English and preferable a 2nd language like German or French.
Analytical, fact based, strong conceptual skills and able to make solid business cases.
A strong ability to structure, organize several activities and initiatives.
In this role there is a travel component of 25%.
