Business Development Manager MedTech

Within Europe, we have operations in a wide range of countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK.

 

For the development of DP World's services within Medical Technology (MedTech), we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager MedTech, based in the Benelux or Germany, to build this business in the EMEA region. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for identifying & winning new business opportunities and customers in the region and realizing further growth within DP World's MedTech business. As a senior individual contributor, you will partner closely with our operational teams and other stakeholders across the organization (i.e. Engineering, Finance, IT, etc.) and will report to the Vice President Business Development & Account Management for Contract Logistics.

 

About The Role - How You Will Contribute:

• Developing and expanding DP World's service offering within the MedTech sector by selling contract logistics and value-added services;
• Playing a key role in establishing long-term strategic relationships with prospects and customers up to senior management/executive levels. This position is given a high degree of autonomy to manage the solution sales process and is supported extensively by the organization;

• Developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan aimed at identifying industry opportunities and expanding business to new accounts within the MedTech industry; 
• Generating effective leads & opportunities from the territory plan, as well as identifying & developing relationships with key decision makers within the customer's organization; 
• Owning the commercial relationships and contract negotiations with customers for all new business;

• Understanding the customer's business (strategically, operationally and financially), their buying processes and requirements and quantifying potential growth opportunities; 

• Working closely with all DP World's stakeholders across EMEA and other regions and leveraging company resources (solution experts, industry experts, operations and executive support) to assist in developing accounts and create custom solutions that deliver value to our customers;
• Maintaining up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying number of opportunities, value of the opportunity and managing the probability to win; 

• Acting as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies. 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Development position within Logistics as well as a track record & network in the MedTech sector are a must;
  • Master's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent;
  • Proven track record of consistently achieved sales quota at a relevant scale and scope; 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Full professional working proficiency in English is required, Dutch and/or German language proficiency is preferred;
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic & proactive personality who can prioritize, quickly adapt to changing conditions and take care of execution of different projects and operations;
  • The ability and/or interest to build and supervise a team in different locations within a dynamic environment is a plus;
  • Working knowledge/affinity with CRM and Knowledge Management tools is very welcome;  
  • Based & authorized to work in the Benelux region or Germany with the ability to travel in the EMEA region up to 25% of the time.
