Launch Lead Operations

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop good working relationships with the local customer plant and project leader; ensures that we establish excellent two-way communication communicating syncreon’s needs in order to be successful and risks where we need customer input. The objective is that a good customer relationship will ensure that both parties are focused on being successful together
  • Lead Operations launch process as applied to new business launches in cooperation with the launch-, the local OPS team and the German Management Team.
  • Ensure all employees understand the need for safe working practices and adhere to the safe working methods and countermeasures that syncreon implements, i.e. Risk Assessment, Handling Aids, and Job rotation. Lead a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from safe working practices
  • Responsible for driving Standard Work and Quality processes implemented to ensure a “Right First Time” product to the customer. Ensure that all customers required quality processes are operated in line with specification. Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Lead follow up to Customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
  • Manage Manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and also Lean Manufacturing principles. Support set-up of company Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels. Deal with personnel issues on shift during launch phase, including interaction with the Trade Union, in line with Company Policy and Collective Agreements.
  • Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot builds. Flawless execution every time, using syncreon proven “Launch Methodology”
  • Onboard and Coach Supervisors daily to define and achieve a common goal to achieve the business objectives and meet company and customer goals.
  • Define and implement processes to ensure delivery of product to the customer on time, every time using logistic methodes. Operate visual delivery tracking systems so that status can be seen at a glance.
  • Leads or participates in business process redesign teams.
  • Review, communicate and escalate critical project issues with Project Manager & Director of Operations in a timely manner
  • Manage handover process to Operations (Plant Manager sign-off) at the appropriate time which will be jointly determined by Business Development and Operations
  • Support of the engineering and RFQ team during the RFQ / bid process and the work that occurs in this context

 

Requirements

  • Education -  bachelor’s degree; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience - minimum 5 years’ experience in Operations/Project Management in automotive and/or logistics environment.
