Launch Lead Engineer

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Engineering input and output on new project and process launches in Germany.
  • Support of the engineering and RFQ team during the RFQ / bid process and the work that occurs in this context
  • Support the startup of new company business. Coordinate Engineering launch process as applied to new business launches in cooperation with the launch-, the local Engineering team and the Engineering Germany Management
  • Implement Engineering standard processes and work instructions. in (new) company businesses.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute the Engineering function(s) for assigned projects, including processes, equipment, work standards, and facilities.
  • Support the application of lean principles. Apply lean tools, including standardized work, 5S visual factory, total productive maintenance, pull systems, etc.           
  • Develop plant/process layouts and/or improve existing layouts to maximize efficient use of space, equipment, and labor.
  • Establish and implement work standards through time studies and other accepted methods.
  • Assist the PM and Engineering Manager to make informed decisions related to the purchase of equipment, including forklifts, tooling, lift assists, generators, compressed air systems, racking, sweepers/scrubbers, compactors, and miscellaneous items pertaining to specific projects.
  • Recommend new and/or improve existing error proofing methods and technology
  • Obtain quotes, perform cost analysis, and manage contractors working on various installations and facility construction
  • Help to develop systems for maintenance of equipment and facilities. Institutionalize TPM methodology in accordance with syncreon corporate standards
  • Help to track the project capital budget and report ongoing status to Project Manager and VP Engineering.
  • Assist with the recruitment of and take responsibility for the engineering-specific training of Plant Engineers hired to support the operational organization during plant launches.
  • Conform to the processes and requirements of the synchronized management system.
  • Achieve effectiveness of the synchronized management system by following the Quality Policy and meeting company objectives.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or combination of experience and training in Engineering.
  • Experience in variety of Engineering discipline(s). Project Management experience preferred.  Familiar with Project Management Tools.
  • Computer literate and affinity in working with Engineering processes, data and systems with ability to analyze data and make effective and persuasive presentations on Engineering -related matters.
  • Prior experience in standardization and harmonization of Engineering processes in multiple countries. Proven track record in managing multiple projects and processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication, strategic, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency on computers and Microsoft Office products
  • Above average interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers-both internal and external
  • Strong analytical skills and technical savvy.
  • English and German spoken and written (native level)
