Solutions Engineer - Associate

Join us as an Associate Solutions Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for our clients in Canada.

 

JOB PURPOSE

•As a Solutions Engineer, you design, calculate and implement solution engineering projects of all sizes (footprint/revenue) with varying complexity within the Americas, supporting new business and contract renewals for a specific industry vertical. The purpose is to create a solution according to the requirements of the customer sent by RFI/RFQ or other requests.

•In this role, you are responsible for the RFQ tender phase including process design, headcount calculation, layout, costing & pricing, input for customer presentations and coordinating internal stakeholders.

•Position is based out of Canada.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•60% - Develop solutions in response to customer request for proposals (RFP

•Review and analysis of customer data, and develop customer profiles

•Generate process flows catering to customer requirements

•Design detailed facility layout including selection of appropriate storage media

•Prepare Engineering models calculating labor, MHE, and equipment requirements

•Lead Engineering reviews with both internal stakeholders and present concept of operations to customers

•20% - Drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional operational and development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions

•10% - Work with the Automation Engineering team and third-party integrators to design automation into future solutions in response to customer requests for proposals (RFPs) and be able to challenge integrators from the concept to the execution phase

•10% – Identify opportunities to improve solution design process, and complete trainings and courses for overall career development

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Logistics, Mechanical)

•1-2 yrs Experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, ideally in contract logistics and/or warehouse design

•Advanced MS Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

•Proficiency with AutoCAD

•Structured way of working with the ability to manage a variety of projects while keeping track of timelines and budget

•Ability to travel 25-30%

 

Preferred:

•MOST Certification

•Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Data Visualization is a big plus

•Bilingual candidate (English, French)

 

EXPERIENCE

•1-2 years of engineering experience in supply chain management, logistics, warehousing, or a related field

 

 

Salary Range: $56,700 - $85,000

 

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
