              Duties:

Responsible for managing the daily activities of a two-shift logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to our customer; perform daily and continuous interface with the customer to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximizing schedule adherence; provide input on local conditions; identify needs and receive direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases; control and monitor daily profits and losses to guarantee strong adherence to established KPIs; lead and develop business process improvement initiatives at the site level; test newly developed and implemented tools; participate in post-mortem analysis of problems, providing input for future process improvements; review ongoing performance results, taking corrective measures with authorization and escalating as needed; measure daily, weekly, and monthly production results to ensure adherence to established SLAs; utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, materials management, program management, supply chain management, and warehouse operations management to perform duties; develop and maintain a Lean environment throughout all aspects of the operations, and enact contingency plans as needed; escalate and direct activities during system problems; provide effective leadership to Shift Managers and team, enforcing company standards, policies, and procedures; and make informed personnel decisions with regards to hiring new team members, performance management, progressive discipline, and termination of employment.

Salary: $110,000 per year;

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

 

Training: None;

 

Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as an Inventory Manager, as a Logistics/Warehouse Manager, or in a related occupation;

 

Will accept three (3) years in the position above, as an Inventory Manager, as a Logistics/Warehouse Manager, or in a related occupation in lieu of the primary education and work requirements.

 

Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year’s use of all the following: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, materials management, program management, supply chain management, and warehouse operations management.

 

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
