Account Management Director

For our Automotive division, we are searching for a Director of Account Management for our Automotive customers in the Regensburg and/or Speyer region. You will be responsible for solution development, pricing & negotiation efforts that best address customer needs, coordinating the involvement of Operational Account Management and key internal stakeholders. About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Proactively developing, and continuously updating the account plan so that it is always fit for purpose as an account management tool, ensuring the integrity of the plan against customer needs to enable strategic planning via executive reviews;
  • Establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel within the customer's global organization, creating new relationships to bridge identified gaps in service or geographical areas;
  • Coordinating all growth initiatives specific to the customer's business, identifying and growing opportunities to the assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives of the account;
  • Ensuring solution development, pricing & negotiation efforts that best address customer needs, coordinating the involvement of Operational Account Management, Centre of Excellence and key internal stakeholders;
  • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of collaborative solutions according to customer needs and objectives;
  • Tracking key account metrics and alert internal stakeholders of any performance or cost to serve requirements, ensuring action plans are initiated and acted on to resolution;
  • Leading the preparation and presentation of customer EBR’s, work with Operational Account management & internal stakeholders to deliver best in class customer rating via appropriate SBR & QBR scorecards;
  • Work closely with Plant Leads on commercial topic and resolution;
  • Assisting with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed;
  • Coordinating the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations;
  • Mentor and support the Operational Account Manager through development plans and coaching to ensure best practice and standard approach to account management is followed.
     

Your Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of account management/sales experience within the automotive industry with a strong understanding of supply chain and logistics services;
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or industry related subject;
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate verbally and in written form, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level;
  • Ability to travel at 60%
