Director, Global Organizational Development

We are looking for a passionate and creative Director, Global Organizational Development. As Director of Global Organizational Development, you will be responsible for talent development across the worldwide DP World Contract Logistics organization. You will be responsible for two key areas:

  • Talent and Performance: Responsible the entire talent calendar, all talent and performance practices, reporting and owns all the psychometrics and associated vendors.
  • Organisational Transformation: Responsible for the culture transformation, values, our leadership DNA and effectiveness activities, as well as change management.


You will be responsible for defining a strategy and spearheading the execution of key talent initiatives across the organization. In this role you will develop and deploy org-wide leadership development programs with a focus on inclusive leadership in synch with business needs. You will be accountable for driving performance management, succession planning, workforce planning, talent identification & development and the overall learning & development strategy for the organization.


The Director of Organizational Development understands the fundamentals of talent development and program design and how proper application of these fundamentals can inspire, educate, and engage team members. The successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to drive multiple projects to completion, identify interdependencies across organizational development efforts and align teams to collaborate effectively in pursuit of business objectives. This individual must have a track record of anticipating future trends and creating innovative strategies.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Develop an overarching organizational development strategy and define annual talent management goals align with DP World’s overarching frameworks.
  • Partner with key leaders to design, develop, and update talent & organizational development programs to support strategic plans and business objectives. This includes program design, objectives, and measurement.
  • Enhance and administer core talent programs including the Performance Management Program (PMP) and Leadership Framework related programs.
  • Work with HR leadership and regional HR Directors to drive Workforce Planning globally including developing bench strength in key areas.
  • Manage succession planning and career development plans for critical positions and high potential employees.
  • Work with leaders to create robust succession plans that include employee development programs and allow for a seamless transition between leadership roles after an organizational change.
  • Own, develop and implement employee development programs such as high potential programs, mentor programs and necessary talent identification exercises.
  • Develop strategies and implement programs that increase inclusion and ensure equity across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage the global L&D team. Ensure a learning strategy is developed based on growth plans, exit interview trends, needs assessments and feedback from leadership.
  • Manage leadership programs, assess needs and skills gaps, make training recommendations, collaborate with internal and external resources and develop internal trainers and a SME network.
  • Manage Organizational Development staff. Support the Global & Regional HR teams in a diverse range of HR projects, ensure the smooth deployment of global HR policies and processes.
  • Analyze and measure implementation and success of launched initiatives.
  • Keep up with trends, developments and innovation in relation to Leadership Development.


Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent and/or combination of experience and training in HR management.
  • 10 plus years of global experience in talent management and/or organizational development function as well as experience leading a remote team.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to address change management challenges and experience implementing global programs.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as coach, mentor and facilitator.
  • Experience communicating and influencing at all levels of the organization including the company’s executive team.
  • Computer and social media savvy with ability to analyze data and make effective and persuasive recommendations and presentations.
  • Fluent in English, other languages a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.


This is a remote position can be based in the US, Germany, The Netherlands or UK. Travel to our global locations is necessary.
