Oracle Project Manager & SME

syncreon part of DP World are currently recruiting for a Oracle Project Manager and SME to manage our Oracle Implementation suite of projects (Finance, SCM, PPM, HCM, EPM, Integrations, etc...), across our European portfolio. If you have strong IT project management experience in ERP systems including Oracle we would like to hear from you. This role can be based across Europe - UK (London), The Netherlands (Rotterdam) or Germany (Dusseldorf/Duisburg).

 

About the role;

  • Deliver projects through effective financial and budgetary management to work within tolerances and achieve value for money
  • Engage and work with Head office, program manager and Implementation partner/Team, multiple Business Unit heads, project teams and suppliers to ensure detailed (and effective) project plans are in place and agreed.
  • Work with Finance, HR and IT Management/Leadership across the region ensuring appropriate maintenance and visibility of the project portfolio in the region.
  • Ensure status updates, Risks/issues and other project updates are in place, tested and up to date as well as communicated in an appropriately to all key stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Work collaboratively with all parties to understand the multiple objectives and limitations from an operational and project perspective enabling the identification on unintended consequences, management of dependencies and ensuring an aligned delivery of the entire ERP product.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, Scope, Cost, Time and Resources across all projects within scope.
  • Participate in project reviews with the business to ensure effective and efficient IT services deployment
  • Validate and sign off completion of project deliverables and milestones, initiating milestone payments as appropriate.
  • Business case preparation and support where required for functional leads.
  • Drive appropriate continuous business improvement processes throughout the project duration ensuring lessons are learnt and adaptations put in place for maximum business benefit.
  • Comply with Fatal Risk Standards, Health & Safety Policy, and safe working practices, ensure responsibility for safety and discipline in work area and report accidents and ‘near misses’ in accordance with defined safety procedures
  • Control Project Scope, Manage Budget and ensure timeline is strictly adhered to and work with HO and Taskforce to produce a strategy to overcome issues/risks in a timely manner.
  • Hold and maintain professional/academic qualifications or appropriate expertise;
  • Allocate and manage designated resources to achieve identified elements of the functional plan;
  • Establish a cadence with all key parties (HO Program Mgr., IP Team, Taskforce and other key stakeholders and foster 2-way communication of updates and inputs
  • Monitor, analyse and report on project progress/performance;
  • Provide coaching and mentoring advice and guidance to staff as and when needed;
  • Manage and solve problems of some complexity at a broad level involving some conceptual/systems issues and escalate them timely

 

Your Key Skills:

  • Proven project manager within the ERP environment, especially experience of operating within and outsourced or commercialized environment
  • Oracle OUM methodology experience is preferred
  • Oracle business accelerators knowledge is preferred
  • Successfully managed large projects across Europe and understands GDPR, Works Council, Local Tax, employment law and other rules in Europe and UK region.
  • Proven experience of developing business relationships and dealing successfully with strategic stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Demonstrable experience of managing within a complex matrix environment across countries and regions.
  • Proven experience of managing budgets, delivering value for money and forecasting need.
  • End to End Europe based projects Implementation experience with full understanding of country specific needs is preferred
  • Prince2 or similar PM qualification
  • Experience of Ms Project
  • Ability to motivate team and develop commitment encouraging a performance culture;
  • Encourages and seeks opportunities (for himself/herself and others) to improve, innovate and implement changes to support the business;
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills, due to close contact with senior management and European business units;
  • Solid persuasion and commercial negotiation skills with the ability to maintain strategic relationships;
  • Ability to collate and disseminate facts ensuring that the audience understands information being presented supported by high presentation proficiency to present the project in a variety of forums to different levels of business;
  • Ability to develop a budget, maintain and track corresponding spend;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Knowledge and understanding of new products on the market;
