IT Manager- Software Development

We are looking for a team-oriented IT Manager- Software Developer, based in Itasca, Illinois, with a can-do attitude to work on diverse and exciting new innovative global projects.

About the Role

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the overall IT execution, delivery and ongoing support of the WMS IT solution supporting the WiaB North America facilities
Ownership of IT business relationship representing IT at regional management level and as point of contact to syncreon’s operations management, IT and business teams and into the corporate and regional functional IT teams and leadership
Direct management and coordination of WiaB IT Development team in the Americas
Work with WiaB Snr Management team to ensure software development execution meets the highest standards
Work with WiaB and business leadership to define IT roadmap priorities and act as the primary IT management & escalation contact for North America
Establish a working relationship and support IT related activities within the local IT teams and with other Global IT shared service functional leadership such as PMO, Solutions team, Infrastructure, IT Security, back-office and the Enterprise Integration team
Engage as needed to successfully deliver roadmap functionality, new business and support new customer initiatives
Represent IT as a subject matter expert on local sites and escalation support as required

Required Skills

Excellent communication and relationship building skills, positive attitude and pro-active problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience within the logistics and supply chain industry
5-10 Years’ experience in management of IT delivery and engagement of corporate global and regional IT support functions
Strong IT background required with broad exposure to IT solutions design and delivery of high-end/high volume/complex solutions deployed on a global / international basis
Knowledge and experience in IT management role supporting large scale logistics operations
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience required including significant dealings with external customers
Experience and understanding of the logistics industry required
Knowledge of software development and the Software Development Lifecycle
Project Management methodologies and tools
