Director, Account Management

We're looking for an expereinced automotive/supplychain Account Director to join our global account management group in continuing to provide outstanding customer service and operational excellence to our global automotive customer. This role with work and direct a global team dedicated to ensuring our operations are meeting/exceeding our customers goals while identifying opportunies for additonal commerical success. 

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Develop, and continuously update the customer global account plan so that it is always fit for purpose as an account management tool, ensuring the integrity of the plan against customer needs to enable strategic planning via executive reviews.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel within the customers global organization, creating new relationships to bridge identified gaps in service or geographical areas.
  • Coordinate all growth initiatives specific to the global customer business, identifying and growing opportunities to the assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives of the account.
  • Responsible for ensuring solution development, pricing & negotiation efforts that best address customer needs, coordinating the involvement of Regional Account Management, Center of Excellence and key internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of collaborative solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Track key account metrics and alert internal stakeholders of any performance or cost to serve requirements, ensuring action plans are initiated and acted on to resolution.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of customer EBR’s, work with Regional Account management & internal stakeholders to deliver best in class customer rating via appropriate SBR & QBR scorecards.
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations
  • Mentor and support Regional Account Managers through development plans and coaching to ensure best practice and standard approach to account management globally is followed.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or industry related subject.
  • Experience in Account Management for large enterprise type relationships/customers
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally and in written form, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time whilst paying strict attention to detail
  • Ability to travel at 35%
