Freight Forwarding Specialist (m/w/d)

We are looking for a strong potential with knowledge and expertise in the freight forwarding industry to join our team in Frankfurt. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Support our customers in the operational handling of shipments (national & international) 
• Freight negotiations with shipping companies, air and sea freight forwarders at home and abroad 
• Calculate iffers for overseas import and export shipments 
• Coordinate with foreign representatives within the group, service providers, customs department as well as transport insurers in case of damane claims 
• Procure loading space (fixed subcontractors, forwarders, system transports, spot market) 
• Allocate daily tours to the available loading space in compliance with optimization criteria (price, delivery times, feasibility, hazardous goods and/or temperature requirements, etc.)
• Prepare freight documents (CMR waybills and ADR transport documents) 
• Coordinate and monitor compliance with delivery dates and times with customers and final recipients as well as proactive communication of deviations 
• Invoicing and communication with customers and contractors 

Qualifications: 

• Completed commercial training, ideally as a forwarding and logistics services clerk 
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics, predominantly airfreight. Sea freight experience will be an advantage 
• Well versed in MS Office usage 
• Assertive, ability to work under pressure, diligent and flexible 
• Business fluent in German and good English language skills
