Senior Solutions Engineer

Interested in joining a dynamic and growing 3PL as a Solutions Engineer where lots of engineering challenges await? We are looking for a motivated and experienced colleague with a strong background in supply chain management.

 

About the Role

  • Assist with planning and support with testing scenarios /scripts
  • Acts as process of the JDA ,WWM and LMS
  • Support Gap analysis to the JDA base configuration to identify gaps between the site and the approved processes.
  • Support WMS/LMS upgrades
  • Supports WMS improvements and represents the business in all future developments and configuration work
  • Work with training /Support to ensure successful go-live preparations
  • Ensure site Super User are current on all training and new processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve support request related to JDA, WMS or any related interfaces or ancillary systems
  • Play an active role in developing, maintaining and documenting JDA,  WMN processes and procedure. This includes general SOP's as well as site or customer-specific processes and procedures
  • Assist with configuration and testing tasks as needed
  • Assist in the documentation of Description of Operations (DOO) for automation that will integrate with WMS systems.
  • Dashboard creation and support
  • Provide leadership and training to less-experienced Solutions Engineers.

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Research or related fields with a strong background in engineering redesign and cost savings initiatives. APICS, CPIM a plus.
  • Experience in solutions design/development within the warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering services industries.
  • Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required. Knowledge of Excel should include pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas. Proficiency in Access, with thorough knowledge of relational database creation, queries, forms, reports, macros, and functions.  Proficient in using AutoCAD to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats.  Strong knowledge and skills in network design/simulation software, e.g. CAST, Supply Chain Guru or equivalent.
  • Ability to conceptualize existing operations and innovative solution designs from provided datasets and determine opportunities for improvements.  Knowledgeable on state-of-the-art technology and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to be flexible, effective, and productive in a fast-paced, innovative solution development environment with strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers.
  • Ability to travel at 15%.
