Business Support Manager - Senior

We are looking for a Senior Support Business Manager, based in Fairburn, GA, to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all operational processes. About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Directly supervise QHSE & Training function and staff across all shifts and provide consistent direction of the company’s ethos, policies, site needs and any relevant plans.
  • Manage and analyze data from customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communication to appropriate personnel. Provide management reports – Internal metrics, quality trends, accident & near miss analysis, environmental trends & training competency KPI’s.
  • Provide input on processes from a quality perspective, aid in implementation of new processes. Develop and design irreversible corrective action plans for known problems.  Use established problem solving techniques such as 5C to reduce process variation.  
  • Develop robust training plans for all levels of the operation in conjunction with local management, onsite and corporate training functions, ensuring bench strength and backup in all positions.
  • Assist with Lean engineering goals.  Includes being an aid in developing, implementing and maintaining a Lean culture within the organization using a hands-on approach.
  • Responsible for the development, Implementation and monitoring of the Quality System. Reports to Management on effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or related field.
  • Experience performing professional level quality management duties; preferably in manufacturing or logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures used in logistics operations and practices.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or training in Core Tools (APQP, FMEA).
