Sales Manager Branch (m/f/d)

Together with an own sales team, the Sales Branch Manager will be responsible for developing a Book of Business (BOB) within and for the Branch’s Geographical reach by implementing company commercial strategies and products with the aim of accelerating growth. He/She will ensure delivery of significant P&L contributions for the Branch by controlling margins within its own BOB.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Heading and managing the local Sales team
  • Manage Book of Business (BOB) ensuring constant growth in Volume, Revenue and Margin
  • Grant constant growth of the BCO composition of the above: Hunting as % of Farming
  • Undertake market analysis and competitive research in the local market
  • Liaise with Country Operations to ensure proper SOPs are customized around client needs 
  • Assist BOB clients in their day-to-day requests related to export/import quotations/negotiations in order to ensure proper opportunity closing
  • Liaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents in order to guarantee the best possible service assistance to working opportunities.
  • Work with the CRM system to properly manage sales branch- and personal-pipeline and record activity that will be base for Field Sales Incentive Scheme. 
  • Stay updated about local regulations, industry, new practices and any enhancements

 

 

Skills & Qualifications: 

 

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Logistics or a similar degree 
  • Experience in leading a team, preferably in a multi national environment 
  • Proven track record in sales field, with at least 3 years of recent and relevant sales experience in Freight Forwarding
  • Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations
  • Excellent command in both English and German
