Project Manager Logistics Planning

Within syncreon - a DP World Company and our growing Solution Design team, we offer an exciting opportunity as a Project Manager Logistics Planning (Solution Design). This position will be based in Germany: this position can be fully remote (or hybrid based in the Duisburg, Wolfsburg or Munich area for a junior candidate). Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to occassionally travel to and work with other sites in our growing EMEA region.

As a Project Manager Logistics Planning, you design and implement solution engineering projects of all sizes (footprint/revenue) with up to medium complexity within an international logistics environment, supporting new business and contract renewals for a specific industry vertical. The purpose is to create a solution according to the requirements of the customer sent by RFI/RFQ or other requests. In this role, you are responsible for the RFQ tender phase including process design, headcount calculation, layout, costing & pricing, input for customer presentations and coordinating internal stakeholders. 

How You Will Contribute:

• Developing innovative solutions in the field of contract logistics: working on customer-specific solution engineering projects and best-in-class response to customer requests for quotation, contract renewals, requests for information, operational scope changes, cost and price calculations for new and existing business;

• Planning and calculation of logistics processes with a focus on resource planning and personnel calculations;

• Creating layouts and visualizations of processes (preferably with AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio);

• Preparing offers and presentations of the developed logistics concepts and working closely with Sales teams to present the solutions to customers;
• Developing concepts for customer proposals including process flow diagrams, headcount/MHE calculation, facility layouts and KPIs;
• Responsible for a smooth running of the projects by coordination of internal and external stakeholders, obtaining supplier offers and keeping a close eye on project planning and timelines.

Your Key Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics, (Industrial) Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field;

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, ideally in project and tender management, contract logistics and/or warehouse design;

• Good understanding and high affinity for numbers and mathematics with experience in process planning and project management calculations;

• Excellent communication skills, professional working proficiency in the English and German language is a must;

• Advanced MS Office skills: Excel (VBA is a plus), Powerpoint, Word. Proficency with CAD programs, Warehouse Management Systems, Data Visualization and ERP systems is a big plus;

• High level of analytical thinking and problem solving skills by working collaboratively on team projects with internal stakeholders (i.e. Finance, IT, HR, Legal, Operations, Procurement, QEHS and Security) and external stakeholders (customers, integrators and suppliers), and throughout all management levels;

• Structured way or working with the ablility to manage a variety of projects while keeping track of timelines and budget;

• MTM/MOST certification is preferred;

• Based in Germany and in possession of a valid residence permit/work visa;

• Ability to work remote with the willingness and flexibility to occasionally travel, possession of a driver's license is strongly desired.
