Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

The position is a member of the payroll team and reports directly into the Team lead Payroll. It will be responsible for the payroll in Germany in a multi-regulatory environment. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a smooth process in the payroll area 
• Responsible for the preparation of payroll accounting and for co-operation with the social insurance institutions 
• Compliance with legal requirements in the area of responsibility
• Preparation and implementation of payroll accounting (incl. processing of payroll protocols and payroll accounts)
• Support with the payroll run and follow-up activities (DEÜV notification, wage tax statement, etc.)
• Contact person for employees for all tax and social security issues as well as for health insurance funds, tax offices, social security organisations and other authorities
• Account clarification in close coordination with Accounting
• Processing of garnishments and wage assignments
• Preparation of separate earnings certificates (e.g. employment certificate)
• Creation of manual payment instructions in TIS (incl. account access)
• Preparation of personnel analyses and reports
• Assistance with annual financial statements, projects and special tasks- Support for social security, tax and auditors
• Monitoring the continued payment of wages

Skills and Experiences:

• Successfully completed commercial vocational training or similar training
• At least 2 years of proven professional experience in the field of payroll accounting
• Further training in tax, social and labour law topics
• Training for the specialist area of HR/payroll accounting 
• Comprehensive knowledge of tax and social security law
• Knowledge of account management desirable
• Sound knowledge of payroll systems and AdHoc Query Reports
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
