Head of Marketing Europe

Within our Logistics pillar, our core services focus on five key supply chain links: Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Fulfillment, Reverse and Repair, and Freight Management. Our business grows consistently as existing customers extend their services and new brands partner with us to design, build, and provide strategic value-added contract logistics services. Within Europe, we have operations in a wide range of countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK. For our Logistics Commercial Europe team, we are now looking for a Head of Marketing Europe to be based primarily in Germany, the Netherlands or the UK (remote is possible).and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.



In this exciting and diverse role, you will focus on developing the regional marketing strategy for the Logistics Commercial Europe team's growth targets and managing the supporting collateral for the DP World Logistics services and product solutions, services and offerings.


The Head of Marketing Europe is a crucial partner to establish an excellent customer engagement roadmap to strengthen the DP World brand awareness and to create new opportunities with our customers in the region.

Your Key Responsibilities:


Delivery of Strategy:

- Own the development of a regional marketing strategy that supports the Logistics Commercial Europe team's growth targets;

- Develop hard deliverables for the commercial strategy specifically in relation to marketing at European and country level;

- Provide support to the CCO to partner existing and new customers in strategic solutions that combine all service and product offerings of the DP World Group;

- Drive alignment across Global DP World Marketing & Communications teams.



- Develop and manage supporting collateral for the DP World Logistics service and product solutions menu, leveraging cross group products, services and offerings;

- Manage the recording, tracking and reporting on all Marketing generated sales leads through the Sales Lifecyle;

- Manage and qualify inbound leads channel, identifying opportunities & ensuring commercial follow up;


Marketing and Communication:

- Establish a strong external customer engagement road map to strengthen the DP World brand awareness and create opportunities to network with customers;

- Define fit for purpose customer engagement channels, including digitalization and innovation in marketing initiatives;

- Lead proactive analysis of industry and customer behaviour trends to build successful strategies;

- Formulate, and manage annual events calendar working closely with the commercial group;

- Coordinate and manage the regional commercial aspects relating to DP World sponsored events (DP World Tour), proactively supporting and promoting the brand, service and product offerings;

- Establish positioning, identify target audiences and develop marketing plans with specific objectives, across different channels and segments;

- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start through finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration;

- Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle ensuring the alignment of communication and messaging across all channels;

- Actively monitor and report on key insights for future strategies and campaign development;

- Support Sales teams with bespoke customer presentations and insights;


Your Key Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing and/or Project Management is required, any additional certifications and/or post graduate degrees are an advantage; 

- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Marketing and/or Project Management with proven track record in Marketing, Customer Experience and Commercial/Sales;

- Familair with working within a complex and international matrix organization and experience in collaborating across dispersed teams in the European region are strongly preferred;

- Previous experience within PR (agency or within a corporate communications team) with strong media relations is a strong advantage, a background in/thorough understanding of  the Logistics and Supply Chain Management, industry knowledge is a big plus;

- Strong business and commercial acumen and a strategic mindset (to drive marketing across all media, ability to study trends and develop story ideas for media);

- The ability to use technology and data to measure the impact of marketing activities and generate insights to aid subsequent decision making, as well as the end-to-end execution of large campaigns involving multiple stakeholders (internal, vendors, agencies, media, etc) independently;

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with fluent working proficiency English language, German language proficiency is a plus;

- IT skills: highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio;
• Based & authorized to work in Germany, the Netherlands or the UK with the ability to travel between 20-30% of your time in the assigned region.
