Quality Engineer

We are looking for a QEHS Engineer which will be based primarily in Dublin, Ireland. The role will support the 3 sites in Ireland. This role will report locally to the Transport Manager and regionally to QEHS.  


About the Role
How you will contribute

•    Responsible for Quality and Transport Compliance in Ireland, including Brexit compliance, regulated agent and certified Haulier requirements (2 locations)
•    Responsible for the update and maintenance of site risk assessments, COSSH assessments and safe systems of work for the transport activities in Ireland (2 locations).
•    Responsible for the monthly safety audits in Ireland (2 locations)
•    Responsible for maintaining and updating the ISO 14001 (1 site) and ISO 9001 requirements in Ireland as part of the regional QEHS team
•    Investigate accidents and near misses and ensure the accident reporting process is maintained (2 locations)
•    Creation of documentation (quality system) relative to transport activities (2 locations)
•    Arrange and deliver Quality and EHS training for Drivers and Transport staff including TAPA and GDP training (2 locations)
•    Maintain TAPA TSR certification (1 location)
•    Point of contact for Customers who have Quality or EHS queries
•    Review of the EHS legal compliance register for Ireland
•    Investigate customer complaints and resolve customer queries in relation to quality, environment and Health & Safety (3 locations)
•    Update of environmental data, including mileage data, subcontractor data, ferry data and fuel data to the environmental scorecards ( 3 locations)
•    Other related duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications 


•    College qualifications with a Technical degree preferred
•    Proven experience working with a Transport or Logistics environment 
•    Proficient user of IT and Microsoft Office products 
•    Good organisational and communication skills, both written and order to liaise with internal and external customers
•    Strong analytical and technical skills
