ITSM Administrator / Atlassian Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an ITSM Administrator/Atlassian Specialist to assist the business with integrating systems, automating processes and achieving efficiencies. This typically ranges from providing expert guidance and solution design to "hands-on" work with product setup, migrations, upgrades and performance tuning. The role is preferably based in Dublin however we can accommodate candidates from the UK also.

 

 

 

About the Role

 

 

How you will contribute

 

Within the role of ITSM Administrator, you will perform both short and long term support and development of our Jira and Confluence instances. You will work alongside our IT and development teams to coordinate the server, administration and development activities to provide a reliable, state-of-the-art Jira and Confluence environment that is customised to the business requirements.

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take technical ownership of the Jira service desk and Confluence instances across the business
  • Keep systems up to date, maintain live and test environments, testing upgrades and changes and implementing them post evaluation, within the live system
  • Perform regular clean-ups to keep the systems performant

 

 

Providing day-to-day Support, to include:

  • Providing application support to end-users
  • Creation of complex workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
  • Managing user permissions
  • Creation of dashboards for ticket assignments and reporting
  • Creation of SLA reports to demonstrate KPI effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Review and recommend plug-ins that provide enhanced functionality and reporting
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user-guides

 

 

Your Key Skills:

  • Prior working experience as an ITSM administrator/specialist with at least 2 years of experience working in mid-size or large multi project environment
  • Experience in performing installations, upgrades, and migrations of an ITSM solution
  • Experience setting up of projects for multi-discipline teams - customising workflows, permissions, screens and issues types specific to team requirements
  • Scripting used by automations and post functions, Groovy and JS
  • Additional prior experience in using PostgreSQL, mySQL and JQL is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Define, manage and communicate best practices, so we have consistent templates and approaches across the board
  • Experience in server/DB maintenance activities of an ITSM solution

 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Several years of demonstrable experience developing, maintaining and supporting an ITSM solution, preferably with Atlassian Jira servicedesk
  • A Strong understanding of ITIL processes and experience of implementing them systematically
