Financial and Project Accountant

DP World are growing and we are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant and Project Lead to join our multidisciplinary finance function based in Dublin. This role will be hybrid working and will see you focus on financial accounting for various projects across our European business. The role will be an integral support to the Director Financial Accounting with various projects on best practice, centralisation & standardisation for the whole Europe region

About the role:

How you will contribute:

• Provide supportto the Director of Financial Accounting on various financial accounting projects surrounding best practice, centralisation & standardisation for the whole Europe region
• Review of current financials processes in incumbent system of SAP to ensure continuity of same whilst migrating to the new Finance system Oracle Fusion.
• Support & align with consultants both internal & external on set up of Oracle Fusion.
• Supporting annual group stat audits, monthly/quarterley balance sheet reviews
• Become subject matter expert on aligning Balance Sheet Reconciliations across all European BU’s
• Review & provide best practices for both Audit & compliance across the region.
• Support with entity rationalisation
• Support the Director of Financial Accounting in transition towards SSC 

Your Key Skills: 

• Professionally qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA etc) with strong post qualified experience gained in large/European wide businesses
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion desirable but not essential
• Excellent Excel skills to include minimum of look ups, pivots and if statements
• Audit & Compliance knowledge in particular IFRS standards
• Knowledge of CSRD reporting
• In country Tax & VAT knowledge for UK & Ireland
• Exposure to and involvement with finance projects for global/european wide businesses
• Working knowledge of PMO tools e.g. Monday.com, training will be provided
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
