Sr. Inventory Program Manager

We are looking for a Senior Inventory Program Manager for our US Contract Logistics business. 
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain and Communicate Inventory Control Guidelines so that all sites may train and adhere to IC Standards
  • Perform Inventory Control site audits 
  • Assist sites with applying Inventory Control Best Practices
  • Assist with investigating and correcting discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
  • Track progress of site Inventory Control KPIs
  • Perform root cause analysis to understand inventory control errors to implement corrective actions to prevent future errors as well as minimize shrinkage
  • Assess gaps in current inventory control processes and assist sites with closing any process gaps
  • Assist with Cycle count and Inventory Control training where needed 
  • Ensure that Inventory Control Standards are in place prior to any new launch of business
  • Performs the role of a liaison between Operations to resolve issues that are escalated from the VMI accounts
  • Monitors the communications between the VMI accounts and the VMI Operations Team to ensure timely resolutions to inventory discrepancies, performance of quarterly and end of year inventory reconciliations, as well as quotes for out of scope work.
  • Oversees the tracking of contract limitations and liabilities to maximize shrinkage allowance and minimize inventory claims from VMI accounts
  • Maintain Contact List for Each VMI Contract

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management in a logistics environment; Operational experience also preferred
  • Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks and reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
  • Job requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems
  • Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
  • Ability to be open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace and the persistence in the face of obstacles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, and ability to learn other software as needed
  • Experience in Supply Chain, 3PL, Material Management and Inventory Control
  • Travel may be required
