Facilities Supervisor

DP World North America is a growing global contract logistics provider with operations in over 40 countries at 95 separate sites within Automotive and Technology divisions. We operate highly complex and technical 4-walled warehouses for our global clients.

 

This position exercises independent judgement, demonstrates strong service-oriented leadership, encourages teamwork, and facilitates efficient and effective operations at Detroit Site. .

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Supervise and coordinate the staff for maintenance and repair of all equipment and building needs.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversees all preventative maintenance operations and schedules.
  • Train staff in all aspects of their duties and provides input to Manager for performance evaluations.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain facilities and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Schedule and provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on facility and/or equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Assist and give direction on performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Assist and give direction on the diagnoses of problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments or recommend subcontractors to address such problems.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required, college degree is preferred.
  • Experience in performing facility and equipment related maintenance in a manufacturing or related facility.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and material handling equipment.
