HR Business Partner - Freight Forwarding Division

2. JOB PURPOSE

The HRBP is a regional leadership partner who develops and executes organisational strategies that align structure, culture and talent with business goals.  The role is responsible for proactively aligning human resources initiatives and programmes with business objectives within the regional office.

 

This role is the first point of contact for managers and employees to counsel, coach and support on HR matters and employee related questions.  The HRBP formulates partnerships to deliver value-added service and integrated solutions to management and employees that supports and enables high productivity.

 

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identifies business priorities, objectives, and related needs, in coordination with stakeholders, to translate the needs into actionable HR-related plans.
  • Acts as a prime point of contact within the region to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of HR programs and services
  • Coaches and advises managers on finding the right balance between HR strategy and business priorities of the organisation and the realities, constraints and need for consistency.
  • Supports and drives, HR change management activities and programs based on business strategy on their BU’s assigned.
  • Drive key projects involving HR matters such as know how build up, strengthening competencies, organizational design, change management.
  • Champions diversity, inclusion, and belonging and drives our D&I goals and initiatives.
  • Be the main point of contact for HR related matters to managers. Challenge, coach, advise provide solutions to the BU’s assigned.
  • Supports the develop of communication materials in collaboration with the Communications team to ensure consistency approach
  • Work closely with the Regional Center Of Excellence on deploying initiatives relates to their areas.
  • Acts as the champion of culture, change and engagement initiatives of their BU’s assigned.
  • Develops engagement plans and helps drive actions. Clearly links initiatives back to the voice of the employee and shares successes.
  • Uses data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity and risks and actively develops specifically targeted programs, initiatives or interventions. Uses data to ensure programs and initiatives are effective.
  • Develop and implement KPI’s for their Business Units assigned.
  • Provides feedback to other HR roles in their BU’s for continuous improvement purposes
  • Supports HR investigations/ issues.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
 

5. Job Context

The HRBP is a key strategic HR liaison and advisor between HR and the business who drives results across all generalist HR activities towards enabling improved business performance. 

 

The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and drives value added services.

 

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA in Human Resources, Business. Law or related field required; HR Certificate preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources in progressively roles is required.
  • Proven expertise in working with and developing long-term business relationships with senior level managers, across; driving results, being a change agent and having strong influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across multiple functions, cultures, and levels within the organization. Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing locally. Willingness to be “hands on” when required to execute plans.  Ability to promptly translate business needs into pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel within their BU’s assigned, up to 20% of the time, is required.

  • Flexibility to travel - You are ready to travel between 25% of the time within the Region.

 

  • Languages - You speak and write fluent English –Spanish preferred.
