BPI Engineer - Senior

DP World is a growing global contract logistics provider with operations in over 40 countries at 95 separate sites within Automotive and Technology divisions. Our contract logistics business operates highly complex and technical 4-walled warehouses for our global 3PL & 4PL clients.

Would you like to be responsible for managing the Business Process Improvements (BPI) projects and associated objectives for relevant sites and operations in the Americas region? Are you able to achieve cost saving targets, meet agreed project deadlines and proactively manage customer and stakeholder expectations by following the BPI governance process? This is a home based remote role (can be in any major city of the US)  with required travel to all major contract logistics sites in the United States and Canada. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in The United States without sponsorship now or in the future. 

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead Lean Six Sigma workshops, Kaizen trainings and activities across the region (in English and Spanish), including Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Risk Management, Gate Reviews, Control Plans, JIT Delivery, Labor Balancing, Capacity studies, Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Linear Regression 

  • Ability to confidently lead training sessions and maintain clear direction throughout. 

  • Strong classroom management skills to keep sessions organized, productive, and on track. Keep participants actively engaged.  

  • Talent for simplifying complex concepts into clear, accessible explanations for diverse learners. 

  • High engagement capability to motivate participants and encourage active involvement. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and foster a positive learning environment. 

  • Mentor/coach employees in Lean Six Sigma concept and knowledge  

  • Deep Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodologies 

  • Engage and Guides team members through problem-solving  

  • Encourages critical thinking and independent decision-making 

  • Builds confidence and capability in others 

  • Utilize 5S, Kaizen, JIT Delivery, Labor Balancing, Capacity studies, Time & Motion studies, Six Sigma methodologies, MS Excel, project management, lean manufacturing concepts 

  • Facilitate and Support the application of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques for the successful delivery of continuous improvement projects across the region  

  • Ensure the delivery of project benefits through the correct cost tracking mechanisms and continually review by following the BPI governance process  

  • Deliver assigned projects within the BPI, Six Sigma program & associated objectives for relevant sites & operations  

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, customers, business partners and stakeholders  

  • Other duties as assigned  

About the Role

Your Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience, proven record of deployment, teaching and coaching of a lean Six Sigma program at an organizational level 

    Experience utilizing process improvement and root-cause analysis tools. 

    Proven record of implementing cost savings projects and directly contributing to financial performance 

    Experience in Project Management and utilizing Lean tools in the successful delivery of cross-functional projects 

    Must have a Six Sigma Black Belt certification  

    Must be fluent in English and Spanish 

    Ability to travel up to 50% with a high level of flexibility 

     

    Preferred: 

    • Training skills – train the trainer 

    • Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
