Application Software Developer, Automotive

We are looking for a team-oriented Software Developer, based in Auburn Hills, MI, USA or Brampton, ON, CAN with a can-do attitude to work on diverse and exciting new innovative global projects. Responsibilities you will have in the role are to undertake full stack development and lifecycle of a global Java application and to produce high quality software solutions within time and budget.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Undertake full stack end development lifecycle of a global application
  • Ability to program applications and integrate complex business logic according to a given design specification
  • Produce high quality software solutions within time and budget
  • Ability to document complex applications that operate across large tables and multiple databases
  • Follow best practices and procedures that work towards the continuous improvement of the development process
  • Maintains acute awareness of emerging software technologies, supporting infrastructure layers, industry trends and vendor architecture strategies
  • Perform appropriate communications on all application software and hardware changes made by the team and for the team

Your Key Qualifications

  • University degree preferred
  • Experience in development and successfully delivering development N-Tier application projects in a commercial environment using Java technology stack
  • Extensive Programming Experience in Java, Java Spring MVC, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML
  • Extensive experience in Java build process and tools including Maven
  • Extensive experience with object-oriented design and the technical design artifacts created within development lifecycles (such as RUP), as well as familiarity with online and multi-tiered/web-based transactional systems and software.
  • Knowledge in JBOSS, Apache Tomcat or Weblogic
  • Knowledge in PostgreSQL and Oracle Databases including Postgres PL/pgSQL and Oracle PL/SQL development and database performance optimization
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver to evolving requirements.
