QEHS Manager

syncreon, a DP World Company, are a global 3rd party logistics partner and we are excited to announce the opening of our brand-new facility, on Symmetry Park, Bicester, which will ‘go live’ in June / July 2023, servicing our customer, who are a Financial Technology company focused on developing digital solutions for the music industry. For this brand new site we are now recruiting a hands on QEHS Manager. You will identify and implement all necessary compliance and health and safety standards and will deliver a focused health and safety culture with the workforce through strong coaching and training. 

 

How you will contribute

  • Manage the Health & Safety systems.  Deliver training. Coach / lead the site teams.  Investigate accidents and analyse data to drive improvements. 
  • Report site KPIs / metrics to the corporate team.  Generate improvement action plans where gaps are identified.
  • Manage the Environmental management system. Coach / lead the management team.
  • Manage and analyse data from customers and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.  Interacts with staff within the location and within the Company and all customer and prospective customer representatives.
  • Directly supervises Quality functions and staff across all shifts and provides consistent direction of the company’s quality plans.
  • Administer all projects and documentation relative to assigned processes (i.e. operator instructions, PFMEA’s and process control plans).
  • Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems.  Use established problem-solving techniques to reduce process variation. 
  • Manage quality processes and reports.
  • Champion Lean engineering goals.  Includes being an aid in developing, implementing and maintaining a Lean culture within the organization using a hands-on approach in order to provide input on processes from a quality perspective.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Quality System. Reports to Management on effectiveness of the Quality System. 
  • Generate, interpret, analyse, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports; actively coach the organization concerning quality with tools and reports.
  • Provide input on document enhancement and retention; Maintain ISO documentation and controls, administer activities required to maintain ISO certification, and actively coach the organisation for maintaining ISO system.

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred, but not essential.
  • NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum qualification
  • Progressive experience performing professional level quality management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
  • Additional education, training and/or work experience in area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures used in logistics operations and practice
