Transport Management Analyst

Do you have experience working with Transport Management, Carrier Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Solutions? If so, syncreon is looking for a Transport Management Analyst to support our global IT organization by managing all aspects of Information Technology delivery and support of our proprietary WMS solutions with integration to a third-party SAAS TMS solution -  Mercury Gate. This role is within the syncreon IT TMS team as a SME responsible for the configuration, support, delivery, and management of the TMS supporting transport management services across a range of customer accounts and new business launches globally. About the Role

How you will contribute: 

  • Responsible for the assessment and analysis of internal and customer change requests with input into the proposed solution and level of effort for both syncreon’s team and any third-party costs associated with delivering.
  • Responsible for the documentation of requirements to support customer and internal change requests as required.
  • Responsible for the provision of these (where required) to Mercury Gate for estimation.
  • Responsible for the review and acceptance of functional and technical SOWs with Mercury Gate.
  • Responsible for coordination and scheduling of delivery from Mercury Gate to the QA environment.
  • To create and execute test plans ensuring high-quality delivery and sign-off.
  • Take ownership of defects logged and follow-through with the defect until it is closed.
  • Coordinate and schedule deployment in line with other departments always following syncreon’s change management policies.
  • Provide first line IT technical support for customer accounts.
  • Responsible for liaison with the TMS providers service desk when required through resolution.
  • Provision of clear communication via syncreon’s IT Service Desk to the status, time-scale and impact of support tickets and incidents.
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action, communication, reporting and escalation in line with service desk and customer SLAs.Rotation based out of hours on-call point of contact for priority TMS related support tickets. 
  • Responsibility for the TMS inputs into the overall solution design and cost models for all new customer business opportunities within the Technology segment.
  • Provision of technical product information and presentations to support customer and internal workshops as required within the RFQ process.
  • Representation and presentation of specialist TMS related information as required to support customer presentations.
  • Promote usage of syncreon standards and standard solution sets to support customer requirements.
  • Provision of clearly defined assumptions, deliverables and scope for all new opportunities with associated launch and resource estimates included within cost modeling.
  • Establish a working relationship with other Global IT shared service functional leadership such as PMO, IT Solutions & Applications teams, Infrastructure, IT Security, SMS back-office and the Enterprise Integration team to provide and to engage as needed to successfully deliver in support of new business opportunities and sustaining change requests and upgrades.

Your Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Business, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Experience within the logistics, transport and supply chain industry.

  • Strong background and experience of transport and/or warehouse management systems.

  • Experience working within a geographically dispersed teams and significant dealings with external customers. 

  • Background required with exposure to solutions design and delivery of complex supply chain and logistics solutions deployed on a global / international basis.

  • Experience in management of third-party SAAS providers.

  • Personal skills: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, general communication skills. 

  • Proven management skills with capability to coordinate the delivery of IT solutions within the constraints of time, cost, functionality.

  • Languages: English (fluent).
