Solutions Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

•This role will be responsible for supporting the company's future and existing operations, meeting project deadlines and proactively manage customer and stakeholder expectations by following the Launch Engineering governance process in the Americas’ region.

•As Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development of a design package that may include material flow diagrams, facility layouts, material handling equipment designs, automation designs, storage media designs, process designs, and slotting along with calculations for Labor and MHE requirements.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Analyze client data to understand Order profiles, Storage profile, SKU profile and Velocity profile

•Perform engineering calculations to determine Storage requirements, capacity calculations, Facility sizing, Material Handling requirements, CAPEX etc.

•Support the development of proposals (RFPs) with technical content for proposals, Present solutions to potential clients. Lead new project implementation and support design from concept to detailed plans for implementation

•Use AutoCAD or other software’s to create detailed warehouse layouts.

•Assist with developing projects, improvement, or current/future state proposals or presentations for customers or management; provide information and develop reports as required.

•Assist with identifying and delivering project milestones, communicating with stakeholders, removing obstacles, and ensuring resources are available. Conduct joint planning sessions with clients.

•Develop or recommend standard operating procedures, work instructions, and related materials. Perform work, time, and efficiency studies, talk with supervisors and employees, and discuss with customers to understand operations. Ensure processes and operations comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations; seeks advice and interpretation when required.

•Stay updated on advancements in aerospace, industrial technology, industry trends and regulatory requirements to continually improve solutions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical Engineering or logistics; Master’s Degree in related field, preferred.

•Knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio and Microsoft Office Suite is must

•Knowledge of Time Study Measurement (Most) is plus

•Introduction to Tier 1 and Tier 2 WMS software (like Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP) is preferred

 

EXPERIENCE

•2+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in a supply chain management, logistics, warehousing, or a related field

•1-2 yrs. of experience in Aerospace, Agricultural/Industrial equipment or warehousing

 

 

Salary Range: $72,600 - $108,900

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
