Regional Operations Manager - Continuous Improvement

We are looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager, based in Auburn Hills, MI to travel, plan, direct and coordinate new continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies as well as ensuring they are maintained post-launch. About the Role

How you will contribute
• Help improve key performance metrics related to efficiency, throughput, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy and reducing non-conformance costs, inventory losses and scrap
• Identify efficiency improvement opportunities, help develop detailed action plans and provide leadership & hands-on support with execution
• Review ongoing performance results to targets and take corrective measures; escalate as needed
• Ability to review/analyze financial statements and P&L’s; draw appropriate inferences and identify issues   
• Manage, coach and mentor operators, supervisors and shift managers across the businesses and facilitate personal development of the people involved
• Analyze, optimize & implement inventory control processes to align with syncreon/customer goals and objectives
• Facilitate the implementation of operational processes of the other departments
• Translate business requirements into system enhancements
• Build/strengthen the relationship with counterparts by visiting customers & vendors, represent Syncreon in conference calls, business review meetings, workshops etc. to discuss current & future matters in order to align syncreon and our customer’s processes, objectives and strategies
• Develop/execute monitoring tools (reports, audits) in order to monitor current performance, trends and to facilitate bench marks with competitors
• Accountable for driving change, operational excellence and delivering results
• Ability to travel up to 80%

Your key qualifications
• Logistics background and 10 – 15 years’ experience in the TECHNOLOGY industry is required (Apple, Dell, Xerox, etc.)
• A college or university degree related to manufacturing, supply chain and/or MBA is preferred
• Six Sigma certification is preferred 
• A production, materials and quality control background compliment skillset
• Progressive experience performing professional-level operational and plant management duties; preferably in technology or logistics industry
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write documents using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and customer
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. 
• Proper knowledge of MS Office applications - particularly Excel and warehouse management systems
