BPI Engineer-New Grad Program

Great opportunity for an Industrial Engineer who recently graduated and is looking for a position to work closely with our Regional Business Process Improvement and local Operations teams. This person will participate in Continuous Improvement projects, time studies, and facilitate the application of Lean Principles. If you are interested to learn more apply today.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Provide support to continuous improvement initiatives including work studies to analyze work systems and develop standards, allowances and/or improvements to existing systems, providing input for the development of functional layouts that minimize space and material transit distance and provide flexibility for expansion
  • Asses ergonomic factors in work systems and provide solutions/design factors to minimize RMI (Repetitive Motion Injuries) and accommodate the functional range of workers.
  • Help establish and implement work standards through time studies and other accepted methods and support the development of labor standards
  • Help develop plant process layouts and improve existing layouts to maximize efficient use of space, equipment, and labor
  • Facilitate the applications of lean principles.  Apply lean tools, including but not limited to; standardized work, 5S visual factory, total productive maintenance, pull systems and value-steam mapping
  • Help gather and analyze data relating to MHE and other equipment and support optimization efforts
  • Provide support on data collection and process validations
  • Help with data mining and analytics and provide information and reports to help the decision making process
  • Support six sigma projects utilizing DMAIC
  • Assist in new business launches at both customer and syncreon plant in area of expertise
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline is required
  • Strong technical skills including AutoCAD Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience with work measurement systems is a plus (MTM / MOST
  • Prior internship experience is a plus
