IT Technical Support Manager

We are looking for our next great IT Technical Services Manager based in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a local role with global impact and will require the ideal candidate to manage a geographically dispersed team of level 2 and level 3 IT professionals. Our TSS Manager and team are responsible for managing various enterprise-wide projects & initiatives of the IT organization and the greater company at large. About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Responsible for TSS Team Leadership and training for Plant IT resources on processes and procedures.
  • Develop, communicate, and drive standards for IT end devices across all business verticals, while coordinating with the TSS Manager to ensure clear global standards are being maintained. 
  • Drive second line support initiative to reduce support calls across the organization
  • In conjunction with TSS Manager evaluate and develop standards for IT 2nd level support group including work instructions, how-to’s and knowledge base development.
  • Direct interface with syncreon external customers including managing IT Infrastructure solutions and representing syncreon overall, syncreon IT, and the syncreon management team.
  • Driving both business and IT projects to ensure goals and deadlines are met and act as an escalation point for project managers to review progress and activities.
  • Support and drive IT processes within the TSS team including the following: change management, incident management, problem management and IT purchasing.
  • Responsible for business development support by providing feedback and reviews for the IT infrastructure aspects of new business bids and defining new concept IT solutions and provide costing’s to support all new business submissions.
  • Responsible for contracts and vendor management.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Your Key Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business administration or commerce or a combination of equivalent professional training and certifications, combined with a minimum of five years related work experience in a position(s) with increasing responsibility and supervisory duties may be accepted.
  • Experience in leadership role and / or completion of a professional development program in supervision and personnel management may be required. Experience managing large distributed team.
  • Experience with a Customer care environment and conflict resolution.
  • Experience within a technical support environment.
  • Maintain practitioner knowledge of new and current end device technologies for the purposes of maintaining syncreon operational and IT strategic objectives.
