Director, Productivity & Metrics

Working on a global level, help syncreon better understand our current data and information. In this remote role you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on our business operations. Using this data, you will identify/ understand problems and through analysis/mathematical modelling, provide courses of action and recommend solutions to the key decision makers. Furthermore, through excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leverage the power of the data and critical insights, to enhance accountability.

 

About the Role

How you will contribute 

Performance Management: 

  • Maintain metrics needed and set definitions for accurate global Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting;
  • Create reporting tools for the operation ensuring maintenance and timely compliance; 
  • Collect and analyze provided data on global performance metrics including Health and Safety, Quality, Productivity, People and Financial;  
  • Identify shortfall on KPI's and escalate to Leadership;  
  • Deliver reports to relevant Leadership on performance including areas of concern; 
  • Conduct weekly/monthly reviews with Operations based on performance using the KPIs and analysis;  
  • Discuss with Operations the cause of identified issues and using recognized problem-solving techniques, drive them to resolution and improvement (remote or on site); 
  • Communicate/Collaborate with global and regional Business Process Improvement Teams/Specialists to identify focus departments, functions and assist in solving operational problems; 
  • Target-setting of KPI's during annual budget and recalibration after every year; 

 

Roll-out and Management of Strategic Initiatives:

  • Identify improvement opportunities of current business intelligence tools (Qlik Sense); 
  • Global Cost-reduction Program; and 
  • Track monthly cost reductions and follow up actions 

 

Decision Making Support:

  • Develop sound mathematical models of relevant problems, ensuring the accuracy of the models through testing; 
  • Develop decision support software through the collection and analysis of data from current systems; and
  • Utilize statistical analysis/tests, simulations and judgement, where suitable to define, analyze problems and support the development of practical solutions. 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or other related field; Masters preferred.
  • Minimum (10+) years’ experience in Logistics, warehousing or manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of work, progressive experience, performing operational research and analysis,  preferably in a logistics environment, with experience of operations and engineering functions;
  • Proven technical skills, computer literacy skills and familiarity with advanced statistical and database software;
  • Experience in Business Intelligence platforms, including Qlik and Power BI
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical skills, using recognised tools, techniques and software;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical writing skills. Required to clearly and concisely present complex data in a simple, actionable way at multiple leadership levels;
  • Fluent English, other languages beneficial; and
  • This role can be in location or remote, depending on the successful candidates location. Travel will be required for up to 25% of total available time.
