Director, Business Development - Contract Logistics

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit that knows how to execute a complex sale cycles? The Director, Business Development - Contract Logistics is a senior individual contributor sales role focused on driving new business. The primary responsibility in this remote role is to develop and expand syncreon's service offering by selling contract logistics and value-added services. This position is given a high degree of autonomy to manage the solution sales process and is supported extensively by the organization.

 

About the Role 

 

How you will contribute 

  • Deepen the relationship with new potential customers and key contacts at both site operations and corporate level.
  • Utilize your vast understanding of the operation and it's productivity to help establish and maintain an up to date pipeline of current and future opportunities with the client.
  • Operate with a “must-win” approach and implement an appropriate strategy to address our competitive position within North America.
  • Strive to develop the company brand and promote the extensive service offering of the company within North America and globally.
  • Take ownership for bids/quotes and ensure all internal stakeholders in the company are aligned on any such bids and that responses are professionally administered and in line with our internal financial rules.
  • Work closely with various domestic and international colleagues in a professional manner which reflects the seniority of the role and ability to understand and account for varying business perspectives surrounding solutions to the assigned customer.
  • Work cohesively with senior managers from different functional areas such as site Management, Engineers, Project Managers, Financial Accountants and all other applicable management teams.
  • Utilize strong communication skills and experience interacting with clients at senior executive level.
  • Utilize your proven history of engaging with Technology clients and industry knowledge to identify client requirements and apply the relevant syncreon solutions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the logistics issues and challenges experienced by companies in the technology market.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Your Key Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply-Chain, Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant field
  • Relevant work experience with a proven track record in a similar role: selling supply chain solutions to the technology and or consumer electronics industry.
  • Specific knowledge and experience working in the North America Technology Market.
  • Able to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings.
  • Enthusiastic personality and high level of energy
  • Willingness to travel at 50%
