Corporate Quality Manager

The individual in this role will drive execution of quality processes, Continuous Improvements (CI) and track progress to company improvement goals.  The remote Quality/CI Manager position requires strong leadership competencies with a wide variety of experience in change management, operational analysis, and business process improvement.

 

A successful candidate will be someone that is passionate about driving process improvements utilizing Lean Tools such as,  Kaizens, GEMBA, Practical Problem Solving.  They will need to develop relationships with cross-functional teams with a goal of creating solutions that drive measurable results. About the Role

 

 How you will contribute

  • Implement and deploy a Lean CI strategy across Americas.   Focus initially on  5S, GEMBA, Problem Solving and Kaizens.
  • Train site leaders and CI champions on sustainable Lean practices and processes
  • Measure and document progress towards meeting Key results and cost savings objectives.  Create and distribute timely status reports on key metrics for lean deployment
  • Provide needed oversight and deploy Lean tool training and continuous improvement practices
  • Propose, plan  for and manage Kaizen events as well other improvement activities which are aimed at removing non-value added activities, therefore reducing costs at each site
  • Develop strategy/plans for the deployment of the syncreon Global Standards and roll out across the region
  • Using the operational data analyze, where we have negative trends or not meeting targets support sites to develop actions and provide mentoring/coaching to get back on track.
  • Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems.  Use established problem solving techniques to reduce process variation.
  • Directly manage Quality functions (Quality Engineers) assigned.

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and techniques of Lean, including but not limited to, Kaizen events, A3 process, GEMBA walks, value stream mapping and 5S
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and persuade others and drive change.  Must have a collaborative approach
  • Proven track record of delivering results through Lean Transformation
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (Preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite applications, Visio etc
