Manager Facility & Security

About your responsibilities

 

The Facility & Security Manager is responsible for:

  • The organization and leadership of all Facility, Maintenance and Security activities on site.
  • Making sure all technical security installations are functioning properly and that security procedures are in place and followed at all times.
  • Develop the Facility & Maintenance (multi-)year plan and manage the execution of this plan.
  • Setting up agreements for soft services suppliers for security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, etc. and managing the (high quality) delivery of these services by these suppliers.
  • Managing/coordinating renovations, refurbishments, maintenance, inspections and audits and ensuring that the building, the installations and facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Delivering a high-quality and safe facility support exceeding the expectation of our employees and (on site) customer.

 

In this role you are a member of the site’s Management Team and you report directly into the Site Director.

 

How you will contribute

  • Facility & Maintenance:
    • Lead the Facility & Maintenance team consisting of 3 Technicians, 2 Admin/Support employees and 2 Handymen. Make sure an energetic service-oriented team with a clear ‘can-do’ mentality is created and maintained.
    • Manage the planning, scheduling and completion of all facility and (preventative) maintenance operations and tasks. Assign work orders to the internal team and the required external subcontractors.
    • Identify requirements for contracts and contractors used to perform facility duties or maintenance in or around the facility. Oversee outside contractors work and perform follow-up actions in case required. 
  • Security:
    • Manage the Security partner responsible for the day-to-day execution of the security of the site (man guarding, monitoring, security analysis).
    • Control and check the technical security installations and make sure preventive and corrective maintenance takes place.
    • Create, implement and continuously improve the security procedures.
    • Perform self-audits on the site security and support external audits from the customer and during (re-)certifications.
    • Perform detailed analyses and reporting in case of security related incidents.
    • Be the point of contact for the customer in relation to all security matters.
  • General:
    • Manage the execution of administrative duties related to facilities, maintenance and security, including the creation and follow up of purchase requisitions supporting the site as a whole.
    • Respond appropriately to emergencies or other urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
    • Be an active member of the site Management Team as well as within the wider global syncreon organizations for Facility and Security.

 

Your Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree of a relevant education (Facility Management, Technical, Business or Engineering).
  • 10+ years’ professional experience, of which at least 5 years in a leading role.
  • Track record in leading and continuously improving Facility services, both at a strategic/tactical and operational level. Experience with managing security is an additional advantage.
  • Proven negotiation skills both related to commercial as well as operational matters.
  • Strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial, self-starter, result driven with a service-oriented and hands-on mindset. Capability to successfully lead a wide variety of tasks and projects in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (oral & written) in required.
