Operations support manager

As an operations support managers you are primarily tasked with providing day to day support to customers, clients and operational departments. This by collecting and analyzing data and metrics, provide reports regularly, and assess the support team’s efficiency and proficiency. Part of your duties may also include directing the department in resolving operational issues and monitoring daily workflows and planning and creating safeguards to ensure that problems that may come won't arise.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing teams in Customer Service, Material Planning and Inventory Control;
  • Manage all Inventory Control and Material Planning activities in multiple logistics facilities, WMS analysis and labor forecasting, alongside projects, continuous improvement activities, and work standards;
  • Manage and coach the Customer Service department;
  • Developing new processes or enhance existing processes to improve operational efficiency and quality of operations;
  • Provide tools and reports to operational teams on kpi’s and quality indicators;
  • Ensuring that operational policies and procedures are followed and that all operations are conducted safely;
  • Continually review the Customer business goals, compare with actuals and recommend changes to support reaching those goals;
  • Secure availability of items availability across multiple warehouses in full;
  • Be the partner in changing supply chain developments with the ability to anticipate and maintain the logistics requirements;
  • Being able to engage within all levels of the organization and being able to understand the needs of both customers and employees;
  • Have a deep understanding of how to manage inventory and logistics in order to keep products moving efficiently through the company.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effective time management;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role/ environment;
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills in English is essential (spoken, reading, writing). Other languages are an advantage;
  • WMS systems knowledge;
  • Strong organization skills and initiative with the ability to recognize and evaluate problems, determine the best resolutions to the problems, and able to implement solutions;
  • Team player with Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills;
  • Microsoft Office;
  • Team player;
  • Stress resistant for unexpected events.
