Operational Excellence Manager

Operational excellence manager

 

In a hands-on leadership role you lead the organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvements, while making sure all information to operations and systems in use are “simply there” and in full to run the day to day business. 


Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing teams in Business Information, WMS Application and engineering and further develop the team; 
  • Manage all engineering functions and requirements for multiple logistics facilities, WMS analysis, labor forecasting, plant layout, projects and continuous improvement activities, including use of AGV's, process flow, new equipment and work standards;
  • Analyzing data to identify operational trends and opportunities for improvement, and from there to develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency; 
  • Developing new processes or enhance existing processes to improve operational efficiency and quality of operations;
  • Manage projects from initiative to delivery, creating and managing against project plans/budgets/schedules;
  • Establishing standards and processes for other departments to follow when processing orders or performing other tasks, new initiatives or new work practices.
  • Use and further develop a data driven decision making process;
  • Ability to work with various functional groups within the organization as part of implementations and be responsible for providing data and information to all stakeholders where needed;
  • Provide tools and reports to operational teams on kpi’s and quality indicators;
  • Report to regional management;
  • Implement systems and processes that deliver improvement toward 100% conformance to customer requirements;
  • Continually review the Customer business goals, compare with actuals and recommend changes or initiative to support exceeding those goals.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effective time management;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role/ environment and preferably also in operations within warehousing ;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Experience in Project Management and managing multiple projects simultaneously; 
  • Experience utilizing supply chain/logistics concepts as well as executing lean processes in material handling and light manufacturing;
  • Strong organization skills and initiative with the ability to recognize and evaluate problems, determine the best resolutions to the problems, and able to implement solutions;
  • WMS systems knowledge;
  • Microsoft Office experience;
  • Team player with Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills;
  • Stress resistant for unexpected events.
